Nirantar is built with a privacy-first architecture. We believe your productivity data — your goals, habits, reflections, and focus patterns — is deeply personal. It should belong to you and only you.
Unlike most apps, Nirantar stores all your data locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage (localStorage). Nothing is transmitted to our servers or any third party.

All your Nirantar data is stored using your browser's localStorage API. This means your data lives on your device and is never sent to our servers. You have full control over this data at all times.
You can export all your data as a JSON file at any time from the app's settings. You can also permanently delete all your data with a single tap. Both options are available in the app's Data & Privacy section.
Please note that since data is stored locally, clearing your browser data or switching devices will result in data loss unless you export it first.
We use privacy-focused analytics to understand general usage patterns (such as which pages are visited and how many people use the app). This data is anonymous and aggregated — we cannot identify individual users. No personal information, IP addresses, or device fingerprints are collected.
You can block analytics by using any standard ad blocker or privacy browser extension.
If you choose to upgrade to Nirantar Pro, payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. Your payment details (card number, UPI ID, etc.) are handled entirely by Razorpay and are never stored on or transmitted to our systems.

Nirantar uses the following third-party services, and only these:
Google Fonts — to load the DM Serif Display and DM Sans typefaces. Google may collect anonymous usage data per their privacy policy. No personal information is shared.
Razorpay — for payment processing (Pro plan only). Only invoked when you choose to make a payment.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 and applicable Indian law, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Since Nirantar stores data locally on your device, you can exercise all these rights directly from the app without needing to contact us.
Specifically, you can: view all stored data via the export feature, modify any data directly in the app, and permanently erase all data using the delete function.
Nirantar is a general productivity tool and does not knowingly collect data from children under 18. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, this applies by default.
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where possible, notify users through the app.
